What special events does Netcong offer?
Netcong Day is a highlight of the year where Main Street is transformed into a street festival offering specialty foods, crafts and performances. It also features a morning 5K run that begins and ends within the street festival. In addition, Memorial Day and the winter holidays include parades through town. One of the unique features in town are two local festivals held in the summer, the Feast of St. Cesario and the Feast of the Assumption. Both events offer day-long fireworks from early morning to late at night and a parade that ends at Arbolino Park with food and fun. Both are traditions that Netcong residents cherish as centuries old customs as each events celebrates over 100 years of practice.

What is our favorite time of the year here in Netcong?
We enjoy all four seasons in Netcong. Fall foliage around the lake, ice fishing, skating and sledding in the winter, boating, fishing, swimming, bicycling, walking and other nature activities in the spring, summer and fall and other nature activities make Netcong a great place to be any time of the year.
Why do we live in Netcong?
We love the small town feel. School classroom sizes are small. Everyone is friendly. It is a very safe community. Netcong is easily accessible from all major highways. We have a lake and many parks for children and families. We have many “mom & pop” shops that have been around for many years. We can easily get into NYC by mass transit.
What is the parking situation in Netcong?
Netcong has on and off street parking at most businesses. Parking is also available at the NJ Transit Railroad station parking lots.

Within the Borough of Netcong are multiple opportunities to shop, eat or play. One of Netcong’s best features is our historic Main Street with multiple small shops and restaurants. In addition, beautiful Lake Musconetcong is a popular spot for fishing and water sports. Visitors also enjoy walking, bicycling and visiting historic Morris Canal sites in and around town.

How can I get to Netcong?
Netcong is easily accessible from roads and transit. Netcong is served by Routes 80, 46, 183 and 206. The Netcong train station connects to the Morristown and the Boonton Lines. Bike racks are available at the train station. The Morris County Morris on the Move (M.O.M.) bus between Dover and Mt. Olive has a stop at the Netcong Train Station (http://www.morrisdot.org/bus/MOM_timetable.pdf).
Service between NYC and Netcong is also available through Lakeland Bus Lines.

Netcong is very family oriented. We have a lake that offers excellent fishing, the Growing Stage Children’s Theatre, many dining options, and a small family atmosphere elementary school.
